If you have been following me on social media you may have seen me share on my stories or via IG reels & TikTok about Starbucks drinks you don’t usually see. Truth to be told, I am not a fanatic of Starbucks but I do like to try new things and when I came across various secret menu drink options I decided to try them out, share my thoughts, and of course share how to order if you are interested! Before you proceed below, make sure to give a follow on social media to be informed of the latest posts, you can follow on Tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook! Baby Yoda

Let me start with what’s probably my favourite Starbucks secret menu drink, and maybe Starbucks drink ever… the Grogu aka Baby Yoda! And yes, it’s Star Wars, so I had to try it! The matcha and caramel balanced out nicely, it is a little sweet but it didn’t ruin the taste plus the crunch on top was like icing on the cake. See below on how to order or you can view the TikTok or Instagram Reels as well.

Chewbacca

Another favourable Star Wars drink I got was the Chewbacca! It’s basically the mocha cookie crumble with a little added sweetness (but still not overbearingly sweet). The various shades of brown in this drink is a nice nod to Chewy. See below on how to order or you can view the TikTok or Instagram Reels as well.
How to Order: Venti Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappucino, extra caramel & mocha drizzle, with regular whipped cream.
Caribbean Sunset Refresher

Next I want to share probably the most aesthetically appealing drink, the Caribbean Sunset Refresher. I have seen this on Instagram a while ago from different places and forgot to note down where I initially saw this but found it on a post from Taste of Home. I remember when the barista gave me this drink she was stunned by how amazing it looks and note down the recipe/order to try for herself. It tasted pretty good, a bit more sour than sweet but still refreshing.
How to Order: Venti Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade with no inclusions, little kiwi and peach juice, one pump of raspberry syrup, with light passion tea poured on top of the drink.
Naruto

This drink looked good as well (especially because of the beautiful orange) but I didn’t enjoy it as much since it it has a distinct citrus flavour taste with a sour after taste, but I didn’t mind it and don’t think it was bad at all. See below on how to order or you can view the Tiktok or Instagram Reels as well.

Pokeball

I’m lucky the barista who made this drink was really into it and did her best to make sure this drink looked as close as possible to looking like a Pokeball (she even asked me where I find these recipes as she thought it was so cool). The drink tastes pretty good on it’s own and I didn’t find it too sweet. I do recommend showing the barista this picture when ordering but see if they can make it a straight line with the crumble. See below on how to order or you can view the TikTok or Instagram Reels as well.

Sailor Moon
I actually forgot to save this picture but here is the TikTok (above) and Instagram Reel I created if you were interested in trying this drink. Fans of Sailor Moon would love to try this, but for me, I would say I am happy I tried it once but I won’t be getting it again. It’s not terrible, but it’s not something I personally enjoyed a lot. It did give a strawberry milk feel to it which can be refreshing during summer months.
Wednesday Addams

This was interesting because I saw two version of ordering this drink, one from Totally The Bomb and the other from a picture Natalie Ortega (mother of Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams in the highly successful Netflix series, Wednesday) shared on Instagram. Both had an interesting taste but fairly different as the key flavour in both were different (pumpkin vs vanilla). Both tasted strong so I do recommend if you do plan on trying one or both of these, to try it in the morning. See below on how to order or you can view the TikTok or Instagram Reels as well.

Squid Game

Speaking of successful Netflix shows, Squid Game was one of the biggest shows of 2021. This drink is inspired from the uniform the guards wear because although it looks like red, it’s actually pink hence why this drink looks predominately pink. There are little details in this order that nods to the mask and red hues as well. For myself, I decided to leave the strawberry puree and I liked it since it is still more pink than than purple like the reference photo I saw, but more importantly it tasted really good and would say this would be perfect on a hot day! See below on how to order or you can view the Tiktok or Instagram Reels as well.

Demogorgon

While we are on the topic of massive Netflix series, it’s only right we include a drink from Stranger Things. There are some Stranger Things secret menu drinks that doesn’t really look like what it’s supposed to represent but this one seemed the most accurate and it wasn’t bad, even though it’s a demogorgon drink! I like the colour of it because it does have a greyish green that is similar to the monster’s complexion. The puree can be tricky, if you say for it to be at the bottom it might not come out right but it’s up to you and I would just suggest showing this picture as a reference.

Wandavision

See this drink looks a bit similar to the one above because they both have a Green Tea Frappuccino as the base drink and strawberry puree but I think without the java chips and white mocha, there is that nice green and red balance still shown, which represents both Wanda and Vision. However, it does tend to lose it’s vibrancy pretty quickly so if you plan on taking the pic, do it soon. Also, I liked this one a bit more than the demogorgan one. FYI, it’s probably best that you show the barista this pic because when you just tell them the simple order it might not look like how you wanted.

Butterbeer

I’ll admit, I have a sweet tooth. But this drink was waaaay too sweet for me! I was curious because as you know I am a fan of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so when I saw this I had to try it… but not again! See below on how to order, or watch the Tiktok or Instagram Reel.

Hocus Pocus Latte

Whether you’re a fan of this Disney movie or not, it might be interesting to try out this drink during the pumpkin spice season. I liked it, the pumpkin spice gave it a little kick to it and this drink would be best during the warmer days of Fall. See below on how to order, or watch the TikTok or Instagram Reel.

Cinderella Latte

This is another pumpkin spice latter and I remember getting this when I was really tired coming home from work on a very rainy day so this definitely gave me a nice pick me up.

BTS Borahae

This last drink I tried on a whim because I saw a comment when looking at another secret menu but made an adjustment. I call this the BTS Borahae drink because as some of you know I am proud to be part of the BTS Army and the colour purple is significant to both the group and fanbase with borahae meaning “I purple you”. Since this came out in a fairly decent lavender colour, it felt right to call it that.
How to Order: Venti Ice Passion Tango Tea, no water, ice, 6 liquid cane sugar, substitute with soy milk. (I believe the person who commented was sansneckfreckles but not entirely sure)
Overall
All in all, it was cool to try these different drinks. I am not a Starbucks person, I like their at home products but it’s not something that I need everyday. However, I do like trying new things so if I am going to spend a lot of money here, might as well try something new and fun. For the most part, baristas were cool about it, but some weren’t unfortunately. When it is busy I tend not to order a complicated drink to be nice but at the end of the day, it is your money and just make sure you let them know exactly what you want and don’t go in with the expectation they know what you’re talking about when stating the secret menu drink name… because it’s a secret menu! If you end up trying any of these let me know what you think and feel free to share this blog post with someone who would love to try any of these.
