Since we are almost ready for trick-or-treating where we will be giving out candies and probably eating the leftovers, I wanted to share my thoughts about everything I ate at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Times Square, New York, last year. This will be a review and what to expect if you plan on going keep in mind to check with their official website as things can change since last year. About and location

There are a few Hershey’s Chocolate World locations but this one in the iconic Times Square, the heart of New York City, is home to the world’s largest HERSHEY’s bar as well as exclusive Hershey’s treats, merchandise, and specialty items exclusive to Hershey’s Chocolate World. The exact address is 20 Times Square, 701 7th Ave, New York, NY and it’s hard to miss. You can drive and find some paid parking but probably best to take public transit/ride share or park a bit further and walk it since it is a really busy area. The store is open really early (10 a.m.) and open until late (midnight). I was only in New York for a day or two so I didn’t have much time but there was a specific reason for why I wanted to go.
Exclusives
REESE’S Stuff Your Cup

I saw a video of someone showing how they were able to customize a massive Reese’s peanut butter cup and I knew I had to try it. The actual Reese’s cup is one pound which doesn’t seem like a lot but it was and honestly, lasted days! You can mix in various items as you can see in the picture above such as Reece’s puff cereal, crushed cookies, potato chips, and so much more. If I recall correctly, I got a bit of everything except for marshmallows and it didn’t taste bad. I just remember I found either the chips or the pretzel bits to be a little too salty overpowering the rest of the sweet chocolatey and peanut butter taste. Nonetheless, my family and I enjoyed it and like I said, it lasted for a few days so definitely worth it. You also don’t need to make any reservations but just a tip, it might be better to go earlier on in the day like I did since there was no line.
Milkshakes and smores

Another exclusive at this store is that you can purchase smores or limited edition milkshakes. Since I am a vegetarian, I didn’t want to try the smores in case they had gelatin so I went with this very intriguing, and perfect for spooky season, drink – the fantastic strawberry milkshake for $10.95 USD. As the name says, it is a vampire-themed drink with the classic strawberry shake elevated with Hershey Kisses and strawberry syrup to give it a bloody effect. It was really sweet but I genuinely enjoyed it and was refreshing as well with a great consistency to make it easy to consume. The wait wasn’t long at all
Rare chocolate bars

If you’re going to visit New York, or anywhere a Hershey’s Chocolate World is located, I would highly recommend going here and stocking up on these since it will be very hard to get them anywhere else. For example, at the time they were celebrating the 20th anniversary of Wicked with special Kit Kats, which I gave to my coworkers. They also had special limited-edition Hershey milk chocolate bars of Harry Potter and DC Comics which I had to get! I have seen the Harry Potter kisses recently at stores but still not the full-size chocolate bars which were under $2 USD each I believe. I really love the special details on the bars as well which tasted amazing. There were also other special items such as coffee and Halloween-themed chocolates. They even had several plant-based bars which wasn’t common in Canada and I got one for my vegan coworker.
Overall
All in all, I really am happy that I went here and would highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Times Square and looking for something exclusive to enjoy themselves or share with others when they return home. If I could go back, I would probably get even more of the Harry Potter and DC comics chocolate bars.
