Another week, another categorized list of recommendations!
Ball For Me (Feat. Nicki Minaj) – Post Malone
Post Malone just released his highly anticipated sophomore album beerbongs & bentleys. There is a lot going on in the album but this is my favourite and I do think it’s a banger that you may see get more radio play due to the easy to sing along hook, solid instrumental and a dope verse from Nicki! No lyric or music video out now but listen to the preview below.
Dazed & Confused – Ruel
When I was going through my new music mix, I leave it on shuffle and this track came along. I’ve actually never heard about Ruel before but I’m glad I know now because this kid can sing.
The 16 years old Australian singer delivers a slow tempo pop track that sound great! There’s something about his voice and the song structure that goes so well. Take a listen below and hear for yourself.
Just Friends (feat. Boy Matthews) – Hayden James
Ironically, this singer Hayden James, is also a singer from Australia. However, the song’s tone is almost the opposite of dazed and confused as it’s an electronic dance record.
No commitment, no labels, just enjoying the moment and staying as just fiends… I guess. Maybe you’ve been there or not, but you can definitely enjoy the tune below with a pretty cool lyric video.

Kiss the Boy – Keiynan Lonsdale
Australian artists seem to be the theme for this week’s post, and this includes Keiynan Lonsdale. You may have seen him in Love Simon or how I first knew of him, Wally West on The Flash & Legends of Tomorrow.
I remember when he first started on the Flash he posted pics of him singing and doing dance choreo on instagram, but I forgot how well he can sing, especially with a song that has a deeper meaning to it.
I remember when he came out and posted on Instagram. It’s great to see where he’s at now, but take a look at the lyric video as it features all different types of couples with one common feature, they’re happy.
What I need (feat. Kehlani) – Hayley Kiyoko
Another LGTBQ artist & actress is Hayley Kiyoko, who just dropped her debut album Expectations recently and I just got to hear some of the album but one of the tracks that I enjoyed the most was this collaboration with Kelhani. It features a singalong hook and a beat to dance to but overall the back and forth between the two sounds great. I can’t wait for a music video to drop!
The actress and singer is known for being completely honest with her sexuality through her music and really inspiring other girls to be comfortable with themselves as well. It’s awesome to see artists like Hayley helping people in the LGTBQ community through her music. Kehlani has also identified herself as queer recently. Check out the track below.
