2 Souls on Fire (Feat. Quavo) by Bebe Rexha

This is probably my favourite release from new music list Apple has curated for my new music page. Bebe has been in the game longer than you think, starting as a writer for a lot of hit artists and then transitioning to a strong female artist herself. Bebe has released several EPs (All Your Fault Part 1 & 2), but Expectations will be her debut album!

Quavo has been doing well for himself with the rise of Migos but also with his collaboration with various pop stars, whether it’s through hooks or verses. This is the first single released from the album, and the song features a back and forth between the two artists and boy does it work! The intro track “Ferrari” was also released today, but in my opinion I’m rocking with this single more, but take a listen for yourself first.

Youngblood – 5 Seconds of Summer

The band is back, and after announcing their new tour dates and new album title they decided to drop the title track. The band is definitely going towards a more pop sound but it’s not a problem at all because they’re making records like this. I enjoy an album more when the intro song is something you want to put on repeat while making you excited to hear what’s next. This song definitely does that with the lyrics and hook, but take a listen to see if you agree or not.

Sleepers

Never mind (Alright) by Dennis Lloyd

This track was listed under the New Music page on Apple Music but when I checked the single details, it was released in 2016! Nevertheless, clearly this track has been a sleeper and definitely needs a listen! The 2016 version is a much more calm and chill record while the 2017 has more of a upbeat tone with faster tempo and drums. See below to compare the two.

Missed Tracks

Missed tracks are songs I forgot to mention from the initial post or songs I discovered throughout the week leading up to this post.

Dimelo by Rak-Su

This track comes through with heat and definitely has the components of a catchy boy-band dance tune with its shout-out to beautiful Latina artists and it’s reggaeton element. It’s a fun song to dance to or just vibe with. This song is from their debut EP that was released on February 16th of this year. Although the track I came across featured vocals solely from the group, the promotional single featured Wyclef Jean & Naughty Boy after they won the 14th season of The X Factor! Take a listen to both versions below.

Pull Up (Feat. Joey Bada$$ & A$AP Ferg) by Powers Pleasant, Chun-Li by Nicki Minaj, Miracle by CHVRCHES & Since I Was Broke – Russ

Let me know what you think about these songs, and if I should check out certain tracks!
